Vengeance
found a post on a message board by someone believed to be jimmy p. brown II of deliverance. he is talking about vengeance (later called vengeance rising). although i never saw them live, their stage presence and command of the stage is very obvious even from an old recorded show back in the day. i couldn't agree more jimmy...
The one thing about VR that always blew me away, no matter how many times I would see them live was thier IMMENSE and POWERFUL stage presence!!! Being part of the original scene when it emerged, we were all friends and went to shows together... Larry and I went a lot to shows, and so did Roger and I... And, I have NEVER seen a stage presence like VR had... Never...They were truly ahead of their time... And, although I was really mad and hurt when Larry left "D" to start VR, I knew it was the right move... Larry made the first 2 albums legendery... His playing and writing style is just amazing!!! Which really shined through on Once Dead...
Glenn Rogers wrote most of the original Human Sacrifice album that just blows you away, and with Roger's strange cookie monster vocal style, it just brought it to a whole new level... Again, truly ahead of their time...
